We have a full range of control solutions, essential in the proper management of nutrients in hydroponic systems. We manufacture these products using the purest and most concentrated sources available.
Growth Technology pH DOWN contains orthophosphoric acid (H3PO4). The concentration is 81%, which is very strong so handle with care. Some other products on the market are considerably weaker so check the concentration before you buy. This is a very dense liquid and should feel much heavier than water.

The traditional agents of pH control
pH UP contains potassium hydroxide (KOH). This is a very caustic liquid and should be handled with extreme care. Once again our product, at 50%, is stronger than some competing products. Always check the label for best value.

pH Buffers and EC Standard
pH Buffers
Solutions of a known and fixed pH. These are used to calibrate pH meters. This should be done on a regular basis to ensure ongoing accuracy from the meter. Available buffer solutions: pH 4 – pH 7 – pH 10
EC Standard
Solution of a known electrical conductivity (EC), used to check and calibrate EC meters. This should be a regular procedure to ensure best results from the meter. Available EC standard solution: 2.76 mS/cm
Meter Maintenance Solutions
pH meters need some care and attention. A little effort will keep them in good shape, which will enhance and ensure their accuracy and extend their useful life.
Probe Refill and Storage Solution
This solution can be used to store pH meters when not is
use. Basically the probe – glass bulb – at the end of the
meter should be just immersed in the solution. This will
condition the probe and maximise its useful life.
The same solution can be
used for refilling the probes
on certain meters.
Probe Cleaning Solution
A solution for cleaning pH probes to remove salt deposits from nutrients and other accumulations.
